Why the Zillow Review Count on Kaydoh May Not Match Zillow.com

If you're noticing a difference between the number of reviews displayed on your Kaydoh profile and the number shown on your Zillow.com page — you're not imagining things.

This article explains why the counts may not match and what you can do about it.

What's the difference?

Zillow.com displays the total number of reviews for a team, which includes:

  • Reviews left for the team leader

  • Reviews left for individual team members

However, Kaydoh uses Zillow’s API to pull in review data — and the API only returns reviews for the individual agent's account, not the entire team.

Example

Let’s say your Zillow page shows 200 reviews, but Kaydoh only shows 90.

Here’s why:

  • The 90 reviews shown on Kaydoh are directly tied to the team leader’s Zillow profile

  • The additional 110 reviews are tied to team members and not accessible through Zillow’s API

This is a current limitation of Zillow’s data-sharing capabilities.

"What Zillow API Partner" said

Here’s the explanation we received directly from Zillow’s partner support team:

“The Zillow site displays the aggregated review count for the team lead, encompassing reviews from team members as well. In contrast, the API only provides the individual review count, excluding team members' contributions.”

What you can do

If the review count difference is confusing or concerning, here are a couple of options:

Option 1: Keep the integration as-is

  • Kaydoh will continue to show the review count based on the individual Zillow profile

  • This is pulled automatically and updated regularly

Option 2: Remove the Zillow integration

  • Instead, create a Content Tile that links directly to your Zillow reviews page

  • You can customize the title of the tile to reflect your full review count (e.g. “Read All 204 Zillow Reviews”

Summary
  • Zillow.com shows team-wide reviews

  • Kaydoh displays individual reviews via Zillow's API

  • Zillow has not yet provided a way to access team reviews through their API

  • You can either keep the current integration or switch to a manual content tile workaround

We’ll continue to monitor any changes to Zillow’s API and update this article if anything changes.
