Purchasing a domain in Kaydoh vs Importing a domain in Kaydoh.

Importing a Domain

Importing a domain you already own offers more control and flexibility. You can:

  • Utilize subdomains: Point to different 3rd party sources (i.e using another Vendor website)
  • Set up custom email: Use your domain for professional email addresses.

These options aren't available if you purchase a domain directly through Kaydoh at this moment.

The cost of importing a domain and connecting it to Kaydoh covers the provisioning of a SSL certification on the domain imported.

Purchasing a Domain in Kaydoh

Buy a brand new domain directly inside Kaydoh. Kaydoh handles all the setup automatically — no DNS configuration required.

✅ Flat annual fee of $30 — includes the domain and SSL certificate
✅ Kaydoh handles all technical setup automatically
✅ No DNS knowledge needed
❌ Subdomains not supported
❌ Custom email addresses not supported
❌ Limited DNS control

Best for: Agents who want a fast, simple setup and don't need subdomains or custom branded email.

Import Your Own Domain

Already own a domain through GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or another provider? Connect it to Kaydoh by configuring your DNS settings.

✅ Full DNS control
✅ Subdomains supported — point different subdomains to different Kaydoh pages (e.g. listings.yourdomain.com, sellers.yourdomain.com)
✅ Custom email addresses supported (e.g. john@yourdomain.com)
✅ SSL certificate included — a provisioning fee applies to cover the SSL setup
⚠️ Requires configuring DNS settings on your domain provider's side

Best for: Agents who already own a domain, want subdomains for multiple pages, or need a professional branded email address.

Important: Subdirectory URLs are not supported

Regardless of which option you choose, Kaydoh only supports root domains (e.g. yourdomain.com) and subdomains (e.g. listings.yourdomain.com). Subdirectory-style URLs such as yourdomain.com/listings are not currently supported. If you need branded URLs for multiple pages, create a separate subdomain for each page.

Not sure which to choose?

  • If you don't already own a domain → Purchase through Kaydoh for the simplest experience
  • If you already own a domain → Import it to keep full control and unlock subdomain and email options
  • If you want subdomains for multiple listing pages → Import your domain — this is the only way to use subdomains with Kaydoh
